Stop imagining nonexistent mounts; it's the HD 1.4x Rear Converter shown on the roadmap.

Has anybody saw a Canon made EF mount converter to some other company mount? Or a Pentax made K mount converter to, whatever mount in this world? I didn't.

So, I don't think that Pentax will begin to help Sony to sell his ''lensesless'' mirrorless cameras.

Right,the HD 1,4x fullframe,sdm/not sdm drive teleconverter.
This is the 4th variation of the Pentax converter, now under Ricoh in HD (FullHD) quality

I'm affraid this one will come, but later on ; hopefully assuming it will allow SDM, exposure and diaphragm control.
And it will be adapter, not converter.
The only one reason not to sacrifice all our K-mount FF lenses when Ricoh XG-1 and its pears will appear...

Let's assume we have a Pentax FF camera, a 15mm HD Pentax-DA lens and a 1.4x HD rear converter.

The above combination will result in fullframe pictures as if these were made with a 15mm x 1.4 = 21mm lens.

And that, in a nutshell, is why I think the rear converter is still not available since 2008. They only want to announce one in conjunction with a FF camera

Let's hope this converter will be KAF2, not 3.

Things that make you go Hmmmmmm . . . . .

So we have
  • Rondec saying something might be coming that we're either going to love or hate.
  • Adam saying he thinks CP+ will be similar to 2012 (my take - that was 7 lenses and a controversial mirrorless camera)
  • asahi man saying FF Telezoom and 1.4x TC (and dSLR near-term production capacity filled with K3 demand)
  • Asahiflex explaining the 1.4x TC in FF terms
All credible witnesses.
"And...this is only the beginning of a new Pentax Time
EVERY Size will be in the Program, from APS-C to 645."

Simple : read my fore-last speculation.
As stated in another thread, if Ricoh still struggles to find a solution "not spoiling the existing mounts", that's clear.
FF will not be K-mounted, nor Pentax branded.
It will be K-adapter furbished i.o. to try stop tear, fears and angry...

The solution to "not spoiling the existing mounts" is to "spoil" them? That doesn't make much sense, don't you think?
