Pentax are displaying one of my images at CES2014 so I hope it doesn't end up in a broom cupboard, or a toilet.
They asked for a few of mine too. Hope to see pictures of them hanging or standing somewhere on the CES!

I suggest a toilet cabin would be a very affordable option

Cute. That was then. They put some real effort into this. Won't you all be surprised if B&M Dealers suddenly reappear on the strength of the K3? Or will you attribute that to pixies or blind squirrels and acorns.

They're working hard. As a recent Canon convert wrote on another thread, the cynicism of-this Pentax community is truly astonishing.

Pentax coverage at CES

Check today's online issue of USA Today. The Tech section is showing a section of the Pentax display showing all the K50 and Q7 colors as the first picture in the CES day 2 coverage.

Note - this online version is the one viewed using the USA Today IPad app.

That doesn't happen by chance. Ricoh Imaging America hired a new web marketing person last fall. Notable that this is in the iPad app - nice image - #1 of 49 slides.

Nice, saw that in the iPad version of their web site too!

Nope. At Photokina they don't have a "room" but a proper (albeit not very large) stand, and a closed area for more important talks. I'm not sure if they still have that excellent strawberry cocktail. I'm looking forward to see how they'll manage this year.
And IIRC at that show (CES 2012) they had a proper stand somewhere else (but showing the toilet door was far more interesting, and PentaxIsDoomed-esque).
At PhotoKina they had last time a perfect backroom for talks and serving coffee to good folks.....

Indeed, some new strategy in asking them questions at the interview would be welcome in order to avoid typically same evasive answers.
Give them some slack, praise them, in order to open them up more to tell us something beyond defensive, inconclusive gibberish.

I would personally open the conversation with a series of questions about the Q line, its probable future (from user's perspective), new lenses (which users would find attractive), then asked about DA* lenses, 645D II, possible different style of cameras for the K-mount (user's ideas), and concluded with an assertion that questions about the FF were omitted deliberately.

For if the FF is coming indeed, we lose a powerful myth to believe in, and the reality as we knew shall crumble.

Would you mind asking for an uncrippled K-mount?

Out of curiosity I checked the exhibition space. Top fifteen (general zone only):
Code:
 1 Canon, Nikon (13.81% each)
3 Sony ( 9.83%)
4 Olympus ( 9.04%)
5 Fujifilm, Panasonic, Ricoh ( 5.73% each)
8 Casio, Epson, Sigma, Tamron ( 4.90% each)
12 Kenko Tokina / Slik ( 3.95%)
13 Carl Zeiss, GoPro, SD Assoc. ( 1.98% each)
The remaining nineteen account for 6.91%.

I thiink General Zone is not really Exhibition Space, per se - it is sort of the Reception Area. Ricoh Imaging is in Central Hall, where each of these makers also has their product booth. That is the prime exhibition hall for the show. Booth #14837 and Conference Room C204.

And also reflect the enthusiasm of the user community that the various recent products have attracted (K-3, K-5 line, Q). Gush over the Limiteds and throw in a compliment about the Pentax heritage (e.g., Takumars are still respected and used...).

I didn’t say that. I just gave manufacturers listed in the “General Zone” within the Exhibition Hall (F1). Zones should rather be called categories, IMHO. Anyhow, that’s not really important.

Uncripple the K-mount! Forget FF. Built a large format camera (5×8 is boring; ≥8×10)!

The Ricoh Imaging booth at CES 2014 as reported by Digital Camera Watch:

http://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20140110_630304.html

Their report puts the emphasis on Theta and K-500 (the latter is not sold in Japan).
