A work colleague of mine has just had some of his work posted on there...he had to send them some sample images a while ago...and got some nice freebies for his troubles!

Considering bank and credit cards usage is recorded by many large merchants into creating a profile of you based on what you buy with them.. well.. you have bigger fish to fry than the NSA potentially recording that you 'liked' the funny picture of the cats on facebook.

Not sure this "Ambassador" thing is a good idea for Ricoh/Pentax.

Been looking at some of the ambassador's photo's on different Ricoh sites, some is very good, but there's a lot of mediocre and plain bad stuff too...

Some people still believe that the main reason for good photos are the camera. If I was one of them, I would never buy a Pentax bases on the "ambassador's" photos.

Ricoh/Pentax should sponsored some really good photographers. I believe that would make a stronger impact and be money better spent.

And what is the ambassador deal?
I read and been told different things.
Do you get to borrow camera and gear for a certain time or do you get some stuff for free?
