Well it's supposed to be the same optical formula as the FA 35/2.

In theory you could shave off a tiny bit of the inner edge of each the apeture blades (not with a dremel )
and then it might go out to f2 possibly with some vignetting if the new lens barrel design "shades it".

Now, ..If you didn't completey destroy it during the surgery the apeture might only stop down to something like f6.3 instead of f22 and the lens contacts would report the same apeture as before.

Maybe better to just stick with the f2.4 and be happy with that.

The owners of FA35/2 are happy because their lens is f2 and still worth more money on the used market.

As far as we know, there is NO DEAL anymore between Tokina and Pentax, so we should not expect a Tokina lens to become a Pentax one for FF.

Only 3 years in the pipeline? Pentax users are somewhat disappointed with such a notion, for if something is not at least 7 years in the pipeline, it hardly fits the Pentax description.

What will happen if Ricoh doesn't release a FF K-mount camera within the next 7 months? All this hype and rumor surrounding it could be very deflating to some people.. there is always a kilometer of rumor developed through a millimeter of information at the Pentax Forums.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought that Pentax has some previous collaborations with Tokina, and Tamron, to sell their lenses under Pentax name. DA 10-17mm, and DA 18-250mm. And if I remember well, in 2012 was some rumors about a new future collaboration, again with Tokina.

Then they will sell more K-3's. I am not in a hurry. It 'll take me half a year at least to save up enough from de moment it is released anyway.
