K-mount lens roadmap updated

The K-mount lens roadmap has been updated with a new star tele-zoom (70-200mm?) added. Check it out!

I'd seek help if your groin area is emanating a fizzing sensation after you've viewed a yellow line on a camera lens roadmap.

Looks like a 70-200mm, I hope it's a constant f/2.8 and not f/4 nor a f/2.8-4...

If it's being listed as a * lens it will be constant aperture. Most high end 70-200s are f/2.8 so you figure it out.

I can't help but notice that in the old roadmaps the orange line (the ~16-85 range zoom) was labeled "DA* Zoom", not to mention all other future roadmap lenses being clearly marked with "DA".

This new orange lens is simply labeled " * Tele Zoom", with no "DA" to be seen.

DFA* anyone?

the yellow line just means it s a DA* lens. wouldn't get the 35mm format sensation between the legs just yet fellas.

But since it's a * lens you might want to get out the K-Y jelly.

hm...

- Wide zoom, time to replace/renew the 12-14
- the "18-85 zoom" -- a redundant lens as 18-135 WR already there?
- the "120-350 zoom" -- nice new addition.

and the "75-150 *zoom" is ....interesting.

but, really, too much repetitive in the similar zoom range..... can PENTAX make some fast glass?

I think the yellow might mean SMC and red means HD.

apparently not

compact primes are what they want to deliver. And even though we got 3 relativley fast primes in the FA series they seem to be impossible to reproduce in the modern DA lenses. Can I have a 50mm f1.4 for the love of god please that is small and compact and not the DA*55mm f1.4 (even though its a brilliant lens!)

One looks at Fuji's lenses and wonders wtf....

DA* instead of just DA.

apparently all new lenses will be HD. SMC is gone no more green rings, all red now.

Perhaps a higher quality performance than the 18-135. Perhaps faster!
