Yep. And the significance of the following escapes many: Weight = mass x gravity.

So find the mass of 1 kilogram-force of weight using that formula if weight and mass are equal.

Mass = 1 kilogram-force / 9.81 = 0.102

Oops it doesn't add up on more than one level. Need to convert kilograms (the weight) to something else or have some constant that makes the numbers numerically the same and get the units fixed.

In America we also have pounds-mass and pounds-force instead of the slug and the constant gee-sub-cee (gc) is the fudge factor that makes the units work out. In my field of engineering, the slug as mass is rarely used in computations.

Can't find the image right now, but I saw one earlier that included a card slot marked SD 2, so I imagine there are at least 2.

Even with 64 GB, how quickly will that card fill up?

Better have dual or quad card and make them hot swappable.

There is no video switch button!

It has a standard issue "start recording" button.

I think he means there is no lever to switch between video and still, like on the K-3 where the video button doubles as liveview button in stills mode. So het red dot button is only for video. And liveview must be switched on differently I guess. Orrrrr the little bit of tape hides a LV sign and the AF selection controller has a video setting (since you would use Contrast detect AF in Video mode.

It will be on that unlabeled dial behind the word 645D. It will have a still mode, 16:9 mode, and a 2.4:1 ratio. Framerate and resolution will still be menu driven though.

This is the wild speculation rumor section right.

Then the red dot and the microphone holes are there just to mislead us?

ApparentIy nobody read or do believe in my first post here ....
it is clear for me that the "AF point" selector's indication have been erased because it will be the Video / Live view lever... and Ricoh decided to make up buzz about it....

between the red dot and play buttons is a rectangular area that has been badly photoshopped. this is where the video rec icon will be.
red button is record.
as for video itself...
my guess is this camera will have the same internal processor as k3 with more buffer and will offer 1080p to sd card and pro res or RAW 4k to ssd or live hdmi out.

Indeed, that is the function of the Red Dot button.

When the camera is in Play Mode.

And when the camera is in Shooting/Live View Mode, its function is "small piece of black tape"

Oh, if you press it does it automatically cover up the RICOH logo on the camera?

If this thing is video optimized, and even remotely marketed, it should make a huge splash on the filmmaking scene. Three would essentially be no competition, and tiger its a nice catalogue of manual focus lenses that would be great for video. I am crossing my fingers that they have taken video seriously this time. I would love to shoot with it, if that were the case. Fingers crossed!

The first company that deletes the mirror-box on a MF camera will strike gold. Look at how much space is used for the box and prism.

i don't think so.
Mirrorless compacity would only be effective for a very short range of focals.
Opérability of MF would not improve, nor ergonomics.
People have to stop thinking the moon is made of green cheese.
