I guess they were going to announce the first medium format camera for HD video, then the new Panasonic came out and they quicky covered everything while working to see if they can upgrade to 4K on the fly. The red button is there to let us wonder and to scare Phase One and Hasselblad.

Dude.... Look carefully at the direction of the knob...

An espresso shot dispenser!
It's made for landscape shooters!

Position at MLU, trip the shutter then twist knob to dispense a shot of espresso.. Take a seat..

If that's the case, I hope it has great shake reduction!

That port in the middle of the right side of the grip is quite clearly the cable release port. The same port can be found on most other Pentax (non-entry level) DSLRs on the right side of the grip under the SD card slot.
Indeed, i mixed it with ext. mic. that probably fits on the other side.
I am convinced there is video though.
4K would be welcome.

Very simple :
- The dial top right of viewfinder is the LV / video lever (AF points/center /auto selector in former 645 D)
-The AF functions are same as on K-3 with dedicated button
-There is an external mic connector in the middle of the grip (very un ergonomic btw)
Nope. The connection on the grip is for a wired remote.

Mic connection will be on the left side.

The left side photo shows the top of the removable flap covered with black tape.

Regards

Chris

I hear ya! If I'm lucky I think I'd manage to trade in for a battery, a charger, and some accessories like caps and a hood. It would leave out the important bits like a lens and a body but I figure it's better to take baby steps than no steps at all!

Don't forget your 645-to-K adapter and K-to-Q adapter.

I knew there was something hidden behind the tilting screen in those teaser photos.
The "RICOH" label!
