So video it is. Now just wait for some specs to see how serious it is. I don't expect anything more than 1080p 60p if we are lucky.

Here is a nice Youtube video from a Japanese guy questioning an Pentax employee at CP+ 2014:

As far as I understood, there is nothing which was not already mentioned in this thread.
CMOS Sensor, fast respone and so on, nothing about video. Maybe the interview guy was not allowed to ask anything about this / show it at youtube, since he is obviously pointing on the "mic?" openings afterwards.

Also he was asking for the price of the 645D / New Lens , but I believe the Pentax employee was not allowed to make any comment on this yet.

Obviously, the Pentax guy on the youtube isn't in a position to divulge any new announcement whatsoever except for three features (high-pixel CMOS sensor, fast response, and tilt screen) for the 645D. He is stressing a possible change in the feature at the announcement. That's why, according to him, he can't say anything specific.

BTW, the interviewer didn't ask for the price...

No point for video without at least 4k and RAW HDMI out.

Something might still change I guess; maybe it isn't ready for video yet, which is why Pentax is delaying its official announcement. Or maybe they're trying to stem in 4k instead of just Full HD, or who knows maybe a slow-mo mode?

I would like to see what a 645D Mk II can do with dual PRIME-III processors

I don't think that anything new comes from Pentax at CP+. It looks like "wait and see" is the best strategy now.

BTW, according to Kakaku.com, Japan's price comparison site, we'd see three new Sony FE lenses this year:

FE 16-35mm
FE 35mm f1.4
FE 90mm macro

Sorry, it's not about Pentax, but it might be a good news if you have Sony's FF E-mount.

Guests are not allowed to touch the 645D 2014 it seems.
Nor the new prototype macro lens for the Q, nor a zoom for the 645D, I suppose?
Not a single new lens for the K-mount? Or a new K-mount camera? Ah, no, can’t touch any such comment either ...

They could at least invite MC Hammer to make a show slightly more exciting, as the theme for the largest Japanese show for Ricoh Imaging appears to be: “Can’t touch this”.

MC Hammer and his dancers could come in trousers and blouses that match the colour scheme of the Q7 wall.

Sure, but what about a nifty 2.35:1 aspect ratio? I find HD to be kinda boxy, not really cinematic. And 4:3 downright square.

Which is funny to me, since I tend to crop stills to square format...

Look at the new pictures here on PF. There is a black square near the red button. Something has been hidden/removed there

You can see a digicame-watch article below on the 645D 2014.

http://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20140214_635195.html

Here is a Google translation.
Google ??

The first part is just a brief introduction of Ricoh Imaging booth at CP+. You can see several photos of gears like a 645D 2014, a TELEPHOTO MACRO lens for Q, a Film duplicator, a RICOH WG-4 GPS/WG-4, and a RICOH WG-20.

The second part is Mikio Tanaka's interview with Pentax's Yasuyuki Maekawa. Mikio Tanaka is a famous photographer in Japan. Here is Mr. Tanaka's forecast on the 645D 2014:

40-50 megapixel image sensor
SAFOX XI for AF sensor
3 fps
102400 or 204800 for the highest ISO
withstand 100,000 shutter releases
USB 3.0
live view with video mode
tethered shooting or multi-exposure like the K-3
less than $10,000

Mr. Maekawa didn't comment on whether Mr. Tanaka's prediction is correct or not, though Mr. Maekawa hinted some:

The 645D 2014 uses the same sensor as Phase One's digital back.
The sensor size is changed from 44×33mm of the current 645D, but no big change.
The price should be reasonable.
To change the shutter speed from 1/4000 to 1/8000 is difficult.
SR is difficult due to the sensor size.
Use FLUCARD regarding to Wi-Fi

That's all about the 645D 2014. According to Mr. Maekawa, even the development team has talked about the TELEPHOTO MACRO lens for Q very favorably.

Thanks! The suggested specs look impressive.

That lens has made me, for the first time, seriously interested in the Q system!

red dot = video. Otherwise it would have said LV. The control to the right of the VF is a AF point selector. So Pentax is hiding the AF capabilities. They also don't want us to know about all connectivity options obviously.
