Thanks for sharing.

So, no K-5II and K-5IIs on the booth?

Aren't they totally discontinued? Out of production? If so, why would they be in the booth?

There was an official statement about this? I don't remember, but maybe I have missed it.

I don't know of an official statement but it sure seems I've read K3 production has kicked K5II/s off the lines. asahi man wrote somethihng to that effect a couple weeks ago.

I know this. I attended that discussion, and I was one of those who believe that this camera are factually discontinued. But still, we don't know for sure, and many has doubts.

I personally think they should keep a line open for K5IIs production so long as we struggle with higher ISO noise on the 24Mp sensor. It would really be interesting to put a lot of K3 technology (minus eAA filter) in a K5IIs.

Worst case make K5IIs a mid-price option.

The MX-1, K5II and K5IIs are gone, for good.

The famed 24MP sensor hi-iso "noise" is perfectly controllable and at the same level as previous sensor's "noise" if an image is resampled down to an old sensor's resolution. Also, less peeping at 100% view on screen helps a lot — treat noise as film grain, and one can start loving photography once again.

So no wonder that kids of today who never saw nor tried rolls of Tri-X pushed few stops or T-MAX don't appreciate it, nor use to their advantage.

Isn't the MX-1 on display next to the GR? Why are they showing it if it is gone for good?

Are you sure that isn't a Ricoh WG-20? The resolution isn't great.

This pic. On the right side it looks clear to me the K3, GR, MX-1, and G700 right in a row

Ah, you beat me to it.

Then again, just because it is on the sign, doesn't mean it is actually on display.

So what are the colorful things under the "G700" banner? AFAIK the G700 doesn't come in those colors, nor does the K-3, MX-1, or GR. Or are they not cameras at all - maybe just accessories/cases?
