But doing something like Rolleiflex/Rolleicord or Mamiya C330/220.
The essential is the same but lenses are not and a couple other refinements but the all thing as to make both proposals desirable.
If it is a GR in various focal lengths, then it is the same/similar approach as Sigma's in theirs DP1, DP2, and DP3.
I see nothing wrong with it. I personally would love a nice 35mm version (whatever aperture), coming a new imaging processor from the K-3. But I'm vary too; both Pentax and Ricoh, did not give a damn for anything 35mm equivalent in the age of digital. The closest they've got to pure classic 35mm are Ricoh's zoom modules for GXR starting from 35mm.

Actually, there is some precedent for Ricoh making cheaper variants of the GR. They used to make the GR10 with the same lens and simplified controls.
Ricoh GR10 - Camerapedia

And the R1, which had a slower 35mm lens, but is said to be pretty good.

This designation, with the f number first, is, IMHO, a confusing and pointless way to be original.

Really? Seems very straightforward to me.

Well for K-mount this will be very popular.

Yes, I think Pentax is really missing a fast 24mm lens right now. The DA 21mm is cool, but its not as fast and its wider than a 24mm f2.0 would be.
But what does it mean "for mirrorless"? Is it for the GR? Because I want one for K mount

Unfortunately, it doesn't look as if it would fit in the likes of a K-01.

If you look at the picture, the sensor plane is very close to the rear element. Also the elements get smaller towards the front, as if they need to fit into the telescoping part of a compact's retracting lens. I'm no expert, but this looks like it is of the ideal size and shape to go into a GR-style body.

I'd also like something fast between the DA21 and the FA31 for K-mount, but this isn't it I'm afraid.

But used FA*24/2 lenses don't seem to sell very well.

(Oops, looking through this thread, seems I should have said 2/24.)

Because they are pretty expensive! For that cost I would like to get a new one

Ah, thanks for the explanation. Yeah, I think lots of us miss a modern 24mm or 28mm lens.

Don't forget to stick your nose and pinky fingers in the air while saying it too.. I think it is required.

I think they should start listing the focal length in centimeters.

LImited lenses

4.0/1.5
3.2/2.1
1.8/3.1
2.8/3.5
2.8/4.0
1.9/4.3
2.4/7.0
1.8/7.7
