Thanks, I'll drop by the site. He had some very good points regarding the K10 too

Part II, (also with the Tim Jackson's focus test chart) :

"the general feel of the color is similar to the K10D…
The terms "plasticky" and "film-like" get tossed around a bit—so far my impression is the K20D results are in the latter camp.

In the old days, there were films that had smeary, mushy grain and films (famously 35mm Tri-X and T-Max P3200) that had beautiful, tight, clean-edged grain. Good grain that people came to love—imagine Salgado's pictures without that grain! At least on screen, the K20D looks like it may have "good noise" at high ISO."

His comments on the more precise autofocus are nice to hear. One of my frustrations with the K10D is exactly what he mentions — it doesn't like narrow foreground targets, almost always getting the background instead. Apparently the K20D is much better.

Part Two of Carl Weese's review/impressions are up. In this installment he discusses the CMOS sensor with particular attention to highlight clipping and noise. Very interesting review if you enjoy a photographer's approach to things. Great to see the 20D getting some attention on one of the leading photographry blogs out there esp. since there is rarely mutch attention foucsed on equiptment on Mike's blog. ch

Pentax continues to get some positive attention at Mike's blog today; it seems Mike now has a K20D loaner the DA 35 macro.

And his comments on the 35mm Macro are nothing short of glowing: "The bokeh resembles nothing so much as that from an old Leica Summarit."

Part III of Carl's report on the K20D is just posted. This looks as interesting as his previous series of articles on the K10D.
