Amen - I notice that the Bible is open to Psalm 23; very appropriate. Rest in peace, Bruce - I really appreciated Bruce's input on the forum while I've been a member. He will be missed by many.

Today is ANZAC Day in Australia, when we remember the soldiers who fell in all wars, although the origin of the day arises from the futile, wasteful loss of life in the Dardanelles campaign of the Great War. It's also a day when Australians give thanks for those who gave their lives in the hopes of a better world.

It's particularly poignant for us, therefore, to mark the passing of our comrade Bruce, who worked in this Forum to the same end, albeit in a more peaceful way. So long, mate.

Very sad to hear this,
I didn't really know him but I did appreciate his postings.
Perhaps the kindness and respect displayed here by the PF folks will help the family in one way or another...

I hope so.

Rest in Peace Bruce, I hope there are some really nice flowers up there.

I knew Bruce from the single challenge here on Pentaxforums. I will miss his wonderfully inspiring flower shots and great camaraderie.

For you Bruce from back when the single challenge was still a baby. I hope you rest well.

What a loss. We only had an unfortunate few interactions, however I never took away anything less than the sense of a consummate professional and one who just oozed passion through his genuine exchanges on the forums. I remember when I did my first (and so far, only - I know, I know) Single In Challenge, there wasn't a photo of mine he skipped commenting on.

Here's an excerpt from the United States Military Academy's Alma Mater poem, and I feel it is appropriate here:

And when our work is done,
Our course on earth is run,
May it be said, 'Well Done;
Be Thou At Peace.'

Two pictures for Bruce, albeit from several years ago. The first is from Venice, the other from Salzburg.

And here's a nontraditional shot of some flowers - was feeling creative and purposefully moved the camera during its exposure. Taken in my (previous) hometown of Bamberg, Germany.

I believe the locations of those images perfectly symbolizes this forum and community - no matter where in the world, we can share our experiences with each other and grow richer, together, because of it. Bruce was a fundamental part of that richness.

Alexander
