Yes. Of each, so three hundred in total.

You know exactly what would make this place 'jump', and yet you don't believe it'll happen this year...

So, do tell, what's gonna make us jump in September if not the fabled...

K3 in 20 colours? HD coating on every other lens? Oh wait, get me a seat, mayhaps there's another re-naming. Super...

The K-01 is similar in size to the tiny ME-Super, except K-01 body is deeper due to the LCD? What if there was a compact and thinner bodied K-mount L-1 with viewfinder and no back LCD? Would anyone bite? Sometimes I really feel like I'm distracting myself with all the chimping that I'm doing.

I presume very few would bite. One of the big advantages of digital over film is to be able to review one's picture immediately and to reshoot it if needed.

To complete my former answer: a special edition of 3 x 100 kits proposed only on Ricoh Imaging Japanese website, starting on May 28th and quickly sold out.

Each kit included Q7, 01 Standard Prime, its hood and 02 Standard Zoom and was sold JPY49,800.

Lenses for Crystal White were black and those for Crystal Red and Blue were silver.

To follow on monochrome's initiative, here is a recap of the 2012, 2013 and 2014 launches. It's in French (I made it for a French forum) but quite easy to follow I hope.

H1 is always less crowded than H2 but H1 2014 is particularly calm. Dead calm. The calm before the storm? Only the future will tell.
Wasn't there a Q7 Complete Kit, too? Did they announce it in 2013 or 2014?

All three models are still available on the website. A Q7 premium kit is also still there, though the limited editions of GR and K-3 are no more available on Ricoh Imaging Japan website.

Strange: last time I looked at it, around mid-May, they were sold out. May be Ricoh Imaging have added units to the initial batch.

Hah, that is something we'll never know.

Well - this place will be jumping either way.

I think a good tell is the FA Limiteds. They've supposedly not been produced in two years - just working down existing stock. If there is a BIG sale (not $150 off or $100 off) this summer . . . . . expect a reason to release updated lenses with HD coating and maybe QS.

Sometimes I know things but this time I really don't know, and that's the truth.

They started to sell on 30th May, which must have kept you from buying in mid-May. I think that they tentatively showed it as "sold-out" till 30th May, though I didn't see how it was on the website.

So far, Adorama was trying to sell them as many as they could, in combo pack with the K-3, at a substantial discount. Practically one was getting 3 lenses for the price of 2.

Very dissapointing. Pentax is going in the wrong direction with their 645 system. Before it was an alternative to 35mm; ie the 33-55 weights only 500g and the 75mm weights only 215g! Now we get a lens that probably weights in excess of 1kg and probably cost in excess of $5000. It makes the case of a 36mp FF Pentax stronger.....

I never saw the MF as an alternative to 35 mm, I saw it as the closest I could come to large format without spending 60k for a scanning back.

Exactly. That's what Pentax wants us to believe.
