No, it is not. Market moves strongly towards mobile phones as primary snap and share tools. And as for the OVF cameras, they are wildly popular; apart from DSLRs which outsell any mirrorless by 4:1 ratio, even one of the most popular range of mirrorless cameras has an OVF — Fujifilm X100 and X100s, and X-Pro1. Despite numerous software faults and sticky aperture syndrome, etc., it is
the OVF that saves the day for that line of cameras.
Quote: But mirrorless also means new lens mounts, if the camera is designed to take advantage of the possibilities that mirrorless offers. The K-01 was Pentax attempt to make a mirrorless camera with support for the K-mount without adapter. And it was a failure and disaster, we all know that. ,,.
It was a disaster not because it supported the K-mount, but because Pentax K-01 was not supported with any common sense in the product planning. It was NOT designed to be a serious attempt. Only a February to February carnival joke. Designed with an expiry date, it was dead before it was released.
