Well, I know you're mostly joking, but I think a Q7 successor looks likely. Ricoh just came out with limited editions of the Q7, which usually happens when a camera is near EOL. Yesterday they stopped taking orders for customized Q7s in Japan. They showed a new lens at CP+ and I guess that will be released alongside the body. I don't think we'll have to wait even as long at Photokina for new products.

Pentax has made one "all-new" K-mount lens in the past two years. I'm in the something-is-coming-camp.

From all accounts Pentax was hiring lens designers. It seems highly unlikely they were all working on the Q/645. 'something-is-coming'.

Agreed.

It doesn't make sense to announce a K-3 and a 645Z only a few months prior to Photokina without having a yet greater product to be announced.

So either Ricoh is really stupid or they have an(some) absolutely terrific product(s) in the pipeline. I second the latter. We'll know soon enough whether it will be the FF or something else.
