No K-60 rumors yet? expectations?

No specs or release rumors of the k-60 or 70 or k whatever, follow up of the k-50 have reached me yet.
What to expect? Adorama has the K-50 listed as "while supplies last" In view of the recent price drop, there should be a follow up soon. What to expect?

Three things I certainly expect are a 24mp sensor (same as K-3) an articulating screen and a new kit lens. (18-70 to 18-85). (Kittens not included).

Nothing more than a sensor upgrade and a slight AF upgrade. Certainly no new kit lens or articulated screen.

The DA Zoom on the roadmap could be a new kit lens.

I would not expect a replacement on the shelf before Winter or Spring. I just checked Adorama and while some kits in red are back-ordered, I was not able to find any color/kit listed "while supplies last". That would come later after the replacement models are available.

As for your expectations for features. I would be surprised if the 24Mpx sensor were offered. Articulated screen would be nice and who knows whether the expected DA zoom (18ish - 80ish) will be offered as a kit at the consumer level. I doubt it.

Apparently they have a shortage of gift certificates or perhaps it is the flash that is being discontinued.

I accidentally read that as "new kittens." That would definitely give you a good photographic subject to test out your new camera.

Historically, Pentax has made significant upgrades to it's entry level DSLRs every other model. K-X and K-R were similar; K-30 was a big upgrade; K-30 and K-50 were similar. So this time around, I think we'll see a big upgrade, with some K-3 technology filtering down.

Actually, in January there were some rumours from a French forum that I wanted to believe, but I don't know how credible they were.

I read this as "new kittens". Bit confused.

Update.
Well, that was the easiest 5 likes ever. Thanks! I didn't even bother to get the scale of the camera correct. No wonder there's so many pictures of kittens on the internet.

I'd expect a slight AF quality increase and a better WR kit lens 18-55/55-200 kit lens kit with the WR lens thing as the standard for the WR models. No more non WR kit lenses sold with WR cameras only with the non WR entry level model. 24MP I think they'll save that for the K-3 level DSLR's. I have zero interest in a K-60 unless it turns out to look as interesting as the K30. I'm so darned happy with mine that I just want six of them on the shelf! The K-50 just bores me and I don't want to see more of the same just upgraded a bit.

I'm kind of tired of the same designs repeating themselves. Every DSLR out there nearly looks like every other. At this point the new cameras are so advanced that I don't need half of what they offer. I certainly don't need 24MP. The K-30 is more camera than I actually need. The K-50 is just the K-30 in a more standard chassis. K3 is just overkill. I could stop right here, get 2 or 3 more bodies to make sure I'd have one for the next 25 years or so and I'd be just fine. Just might now that I can for $350 or less per body. Who knows? I get rich enough I may just start collecting K-30's in every color I can and like, Red, white, and blue like the stars and stripes, that will do me for starters, lol.... :P
