Don't forget the entire company went through a financial restructuring just ended in March and they spent all of FY 03/2014 getting a massive Office Equipment plant in China up and running.
They really didn't start on Ricoh-specific products until about 18 months ago - and much of that was pulling back and improving Hoya-Tax designs (K-3, 1.4x TC) and making capital investments in production facilities that we don't see (HD coating evaporators).
We started to see Ricoh's influence with the K-3. If there's nothing dramatic at Photokina ...............
But one who knows says this is a new and exciting time for Pentax, there will be cameras in all sizes and new lenses, and this fall will be like last fall.
