As for the f1.4 lenses, good luck with that. I can see only a 50mm / 1.4 — and only if there is an FF announced.

I think the DA*55mm/f1.4 is good for Full Frame. So no new lens needed.

On an actual, serious note - it seems Ricoh has either absolutely nothing new to show at Photokina or the component supply manufacturers, NDA testers and marketing people are located in close proximity to a black hole.
Perhaps all of the above.

Hah but, yes, they are very tight lipped.

Though I believe, IIRC, the K-30 was sort of the same way before it was launched..

Apparently, some women sit around in their underwear yet wearing hoodies while petting cameras... strange bunch. I'd avoid.

No no, I was thinking about a new and updated FA50. You know, the ugly duckling one still in the lineup.
That one is still around and sells together with DA*55. It will be updated.

HA ha ha, He would have to follow me through the woods, through stickers and brush, and fight copperheads to see me with the cameras.

This may convince me to buy a Q7, a Pentax K to Q mount adapter, and have a go at some serious maqro shooting. I wish they'd officially announce the specs for this lens right now!

Egads, if that's the most exciting thing to come out in k-mount, color me disappointed! I'd like the 16-85ish to materialize, and an HD-coatings-plus-faster-focus-motors upgrade for all the top-end glass...

That would be an embarrassment, I think. I think we're going to have a new camera and a couple of lenses, but we'll see.
