Only 36? Pentax is doomed.
Also, how many programs on coffeemaker?

We already know which ones:
  • 645 mount: HD Pentax DA 645 28-45mm f/4.5 AL SDM AW
  • Q mount: Pentax-09 Telephoto Macro 23mm f/2.8
  • K mount: HD Pentax-DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL DC WR
Wow, didn't know about the two last ones.
Actually the new K mount trans-standard can be some kind of a blockbuster, to stop the eternal "screw-driven" negative point in the standard kit reviews and tests... and with WR also.

Come on people testing those Pentax cameras - Leak some damn photos under other pseudo names. Next we will have news about "Leaked images"!

Lets do it!

P.S. I am testing a full frame Pentax K-1 with ISO 300,000 and Leaf Shutter. It also has the "Movie Button" and "Swivel Screen". Camera has NFC/wifi/blue tooth. 51 AF points with 39 Cross type AF points. 11 Frames per second. Camera will be launched with a K-mount converter for full frame lenses (So people who don't want to get rid of their vintage glass can use the new system WITHOUT Vignetting). Flash Sync speed of 1/500. Processor SAFOX XXX AFZ M D N TLD module. 30 Mega Pixels. Built in Full-Tether using USB 3.0 / HDMI and Wifi with native support to Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw.

P.P.S The camera will be designed to take X-Ray of previous dead presidents and their ghosts.
Sounds great but does it tie your shoes and make coffee for you in the morning ?

IF it's a GR, the lens will be a 28mm .

What I would like to see from pentax is something like:

"Here is our new Pentax F-01d camera with a 24x36mm sensor"

"We are saving in production cost by NOT including ANY video capabilities and this will result in about 500$ savings at purchase time."

"With that 500$, you will be able to buy our now super-duper made-for-video webcam..... or you can buy yet another PENTAX lens ! ! ! !"

The reality would be something like:
"We decided to not include ANY video capabilities, thus making it a niche product. It's disabled in firmware, so there is no production cost advantage of doing this."
"In effect, the product will cost $1000 more than a video-enabled camera with the same hardware would".
"Now our marketing department is trying to figure out how to sell it".

I get the feeling that Pentax has gotten even more anal under Ricoh.

Product not ready = no release
Not caring what the market or user base thinks.

When its out, its a winner in its category.
Eg. Q7; GR; K3; 645Z

So hopefully, this Photokina we hit the 'Winner' part and not the 'Anal' part of their project cycle

Photokina and the christmas season are aligned.

There's no chance Ricoh spent a bunch of money to purchase Pentax and then completely abandons them a few years later. We'll have some splashes at Photokina, probably at least one camera and a few lenses. It just might not be the camera(s) you or I want.

Personally I think the banner headline will be a FF camera and a couple of lenses for it. But we'll see.

It will not be the camera I want. But that's fine, I already have a camera which is better than what I need

I can confirm from discussions with my relations / RI France, that there will be interesting novelties at this Kina.
I guess this will be more than new lenses or weather-proofed Q-z
