Image Transmitter 2 to be released September 26

The original Transmitter Software was sold on the Pentax Web Store. Image Transmitter 2 will likely be sold the same way.

21,380 yen is about $200in USD. That's not a half bad price, though I hope if they release it for the K-3 that they bank on economies of scale for their profit and take about 30% off that price.

That's S-SW123 - v1 of the software. As the 'Features' tab on that page says:
Exclusively for use with the PENTAX 645D camera.

The only store I can see v2 of the software on at the moment is Ricoh Japan's.

Called Pentax today they have no info on the tethering software, response was call again in a few weeks. Madding!

No. Frankly I wouldn't expect any more from any company.
Maybe you think hundreds of employees updated every morning with a newer firmware or something ?

Do you really think Canon or Nikon would have behave differently. I certainly don't.
