It just occurred to me that those funky retro F-series lenses might look pretty cool on the K-3 gunmetal camera. The F-series lenses are gray.

I think the gunmetal finish looks great. I'm not planning to buy one (when I get a K-3 it'll be black or silver), but hey, I'm glad they announced it now and not at photokina.

Nice looking, need another backup for the K-3 Silver and this might be a good option if they don't release anything new at Photokina.

I think that this camera is an effort to squeeze a few more sales out of the K-3 before they release their new Full Frame at Photokina.
Every year, we wait for Photokina, and every year, we're disappointed. I'll believe they've made a FF when I see it!

Maybe we are missing the point of this K-3 prestige release.
Earlier a couple of posts touched on fact that there is possibly other news coming........
Anyone checked on the popcorn orders going into Ricoh?

Responded with update on P3 or so - Clem Kennedy from the CR Kennedy co responded to me within 20 mins or so to say that it was going to be posted on the pentax site within 2-3 days. Not there yet just checked.

I actually don't like it as much in these photos, assuming they're legit
When you scroll to the last body picture on that Japanese web page there is a picture of the black body next to the grey. The black looks dark grey and the grey is a lighter tone. Seems like the lighting setup is making the image very light - a "black balance" issue.

Indeed. So, it just feels like it's every year! So, if I've been waiting for four Photokina's for Pentax to announce a FF, then I've been waiting eight bloody years!

That is the thing with these limited bundles, they can sell grips (probably a really high markup) to people that would never have bought one separately.
