The lens profile for the Sigma 18-35/1.8 should be there (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.6\Resources\LensProfiles\1.0\Sigma\Pentax\PENTAX (SIGMA 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM A013) - RAW.lcp), but not auto-detected on import. In the Develop module, scroll down the right pane to Lens Corrections section and click Profile. Click Enable Profile Corrections and choose Sigma from the drop-down for Make. The profile for the 18-35/1.4 should auto-fill.

I have a similar problem with the Sigma 17-70/2.8-4.0 (C). I would love to have it auto-detect on import, but so far the solution has eluded me.

Steve
thank you Steve,
well it is in c:\..............\pentax Sigma 18-35 .....but it is still not available in Profiles
now possibly silly question, looking at the file name it has RAW within the name, I take jpegs only so that's why I can not see those profiles?
Perhaps they apply to RAW file only?
kind regards
jack

They have announced rather publicly that stand alone Lightroom will continue to be an option.

Wasn't there a 'for the time being' or 'we currently have plan otherwise' ?

That's always the case, whether stated explicitly or not.

I noticed the same thing. You are probably right.

OoC JPegs are already corrected for distortion, vignetting, etc.

Would hate to see what a cameraphone RAW image looks like. Reckon it's highly processed.

Has anybody seen any good full licence deals? (not the monthly lease deal)
The best price for a full license version of Lightroom 5.6 (not student version, not upgrade version) I found was at canadasoftwareoutlet.ca:
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 -Full Version- Download.
With their "cso14" 4% off coupon code, the final price is C$87.36 or US$80.3. Almost the same as upgrade price.

This place is legit and a Adobe certified reseller; you can find them at Adobe partner finder page: http://adobedealreg.force.com/PartnerSearch?lang=en#.

I have bought from them before. Just check your spam folder for the license key email as it ended up there for my gmail account.

Did the latest LR do away with the "sliders" for things like exposure, contrast, etc. or is it an option now?
Mine comes up now without sliders but instead +/-.

Nothing changed in terms of sliders. Are you sure you are in the Develop module? There are +/- style controls in the Quick Develop section of the Library module, perhaps that's what you're seeing? Try pressing "d" to open the Develop module.

Might be a good way to get elements, but I've never seen lightroom bundled with it (totally different software)
