It i supposed to be turned into appartments, once they sanitized part of the area from some of the radioactive rare-earth elements that was used in lenses during the 1970's to 1980's.

I wonder if that will see Ricoh re-open the Pentax 'factory in the park' in Japan?
Which catalog is this? Do you have any link to an PDF file?

You may be correct. Japan Camera Museum says that "most" of the gears in Pentax camera museum were transferred to it. So it's possible that Ricoh now has the rest.
URL is offline, this is the archived version: About RING CUBE / RING CUBE | Ricoh Japan

Why didn't we keep digging since then? Also there's no reason to double-thread this topic.

It was from a wonderful brochure, featuring photos from the late, great Helmut Newton, for the KX film camera. They don't make Pentax brochures like that anymore.
You can see the full set of page images below, with a PDF also available for download:

Don't forget there is also a Pentax factory in Hanoi, Vietnam, assembling lenses. A short distance away, I think, from a Tamron factory doing the same.

You think there is maybe a secret tunnel between those two plants?

Just for the record, in Hanoi the Pentax plant now operates as RICOH IMAGING PRODUCTS (VIETNAM) CO., LTD. Address is: Lot A7, Sai Dong B Industrial Zone, Thach Ban Ward, Long Bien District, Ha Noi City, Vietnam.

Location and factory 'front door' is here:

Satellite view on Google Maps:

Also for the record, the Tamron Optical factory in Hanoi is about 24km away from the Pentax one.
Not exactly over the road, but close to the same AH14 highway, it seems:

Since there were some discussions regarding Ricoh Imaging's performance and how the 645Z is doing:
"The profit of the DSLR business improved year on year. The new full scale SLR 645Z has received strong support from the market and the initial production was not enough to meet the demand. And now the production catches up, we expect to receive a sizable contribution for the second quarter and beyond." - from the horse's mouth (i.e. Ricoh).

Ricoh is investing 4,300 million yen this FY in order to "increase production of digital cameras ,etc."
It's great that they trying to ramp up production. I hope they see the value of R and D as well. If the have too spend a small portion of that on autofocus it would be well worth it for them... And us

I think that production is already down to what is was before this investment. Market contraction was big this past 4 years.
