Well, I kinda, sorta, maybe hinted that, but the OP is convinced he and he alone is privy to the real truth.

Whatever. I kinda, sorta, maybe don't care any more.

Word.

The danger of course, is folks like me who delayed getting a K-3. If there is no news or hint, then my next actions are likely against the grain of what Pentax would prefer.

I get a K-3.

Then, if a FF comes out, I skip it, in favour of the Mk ii version...

Which means, if others do as I might, the sales of the first version of the FF might not be as good as expected.

Right now the A7 is looking like the most likely full frame option to migrate to.(when Ricoh keeps stalling). I mainly shoot manual so I can adapt most of my glass to it just fine.

I wish they came out with a retro dslr with shutter dial on top.

Sorry, but i don't spend much time following Nikon's latest FF cams, they've got so many already. I went to the Nikon dpreview forum, and there is some puzzlement, even disappointment there as to where this camera fits. At least the K1 would have a K-mount :-) Unlike many here, i'm not that interested in acquiring a FF - but i do find the market moves to be fascinating.

I used to want a FF, but in sunk in if you crop you lose some of the FF benefit. I usually crop, so the K3 seems fine for my use. I just wish it had a shutter sped dial on top.

Like other Pentax cameras, the K3 has front and rear dials, one of which becomes a shutter speed dial in shutter priority mode and other appropriate modes. What's the advantage of a retro shutter speed dial rather than more versatile dials?
(the current arrangement makes it possible to easily change shutter speeds while shooting, where a dial on top doesn't)

I voted for 645 lenses but that's a given. I think they will announce some really rudimentary style p&s camera. Wait I'm being pessimistic but they may give us a new camera carry bag with Ricoh branding.

Well, just as some like to have a wheel here or there.
I'd certainly appreciate a DSLR or MILC with such design. It doens't have to be though.

What will you do if they are releasing a 40mp ff and a 30mp apsc with iso 50 to 104k and that does 4k video? I bet Pentax would still be doooooooomed.

It would be "too little, too late," and "The FF lenses are too expensive and heavy."
