Batteries for K-2

Has anyone else noticed the advertisements for batteries that are appearing on the web, claiming to fit the Pentax K-2? Its the same battery that fits k30 etc. Wondering if this was the original name for the k-s1 or maybe something else new on the way.

How about Pentax's film camera from the 1970s, i.e., the K2?

I saw it on D-Li109 listings on Amazon.uk, and BatteryClerk.com. Might be the K-S1, or might be something else. Time (and the News and Rumors section) will tell...

It's got to be a misprint of some kind. I find it hard to believe Pentax would be informing third party battery manufacturers of a new camera to support.

Good find for a rumours section. It's very odd for that to slip in a battery description, did it have K-3 as well (to rule out a typo?).

They're going to run out of numbers soon in that pattern - and I doubt they'd ever go to K-1 unless they were planning on "marking" it afterwards.

The K-3 uses the larger D-Li190 battery. The D-Li109 is the K-r, K-30/50/500, and now (apparently) K-S1.

The product listings for a Pentax K2 battery have been there for some time. I figure that they are the kind of mis-print that takes on a life of its own.

Note also that the K-50/500 is not listed.
