Innovative as in removing the back LCD from a digital camera?

Yes, removing something is of course much more innovative than adding features like AA-simulator, astrotracer, automatic horizontal correction or other features possible by the SR unit.

We live in a time when "retro" is viewed as one of the most innovative features on cameras.

I can't say I blame them. looking back at the years past instead of looking at the horrors we have to face now.

There is innovation is terms of capabilities of the machine, and innovation in terms of your immersion in the scene and enhancement of the photographic experience. By removing the back LCD one big distraction to our attention is gone. It is not an option for everybody, and not everybody can appreciate it, but there are photographers who have been asking for this for a long time.

Because they're incapable of disabling it. Yeah... right... I can see the innovation.
