c: Viewing app
d: Settings app
e: Preferences app
2: Ricoh/Pentax camStore - Camera app store.
a: Camera apps can be bought and downloaded directly onto the camera
b: Camera apps can be updated directly onto the camera
3: App examples
a: DOF app: Automatically calculates Depth of Field from the exif data provided by the camera
b: HDR app
c: Panorama stitch app
d: Focus stacking app
e: Filter simulation app
e: etc.

Maybe I'm trying to give Ricoh/Pentax a few ideas!

WIth the K-S1 they are changing the external design. They should look internally as well.

Imagine that. Your nose accidentally selecting F1.4 with iso 256000 and a 20 second exposure during a bringt sunny day, for example. With a bit of luck that same nose can smell the burning sensor.

If you look at the GUI on Cell phones, Tablets, PC and what not, the GUI on DSLRs are stoneage. The same goes for connectivity.

I though DSLRs are for people who want to take better photos than they can with their phone and don't want to simulate effects, but rather create the effects.

Reminds me I had great fun at a Masquerade ball I was photographing where the nose on my mask kept putting the K5II into live view mode

Missing the point, are we?

The information that ends up in the EXIF exists in the camera prior to the image being captured. Camera reads such information as shutter speed, aperture setting, focal length, ISO setting and lots lots more. This information could be used in many ways, for example DOF calculations.

I guess you didn´t know that.
