Its important to look at not where sales are now, but where they are trending... and it seems like FF is potentially an area of more growth than APS-C.

Nah.. It was due to the cost. same chip done right on Contax ND.. but Contax is no longer a company.

SO if the 16-85 is announced as an FF lens... that would be a heck of a kit lens. Someone go and stick that on their A7r and find out for us.

It wouldn't surprise if full frame comes next year, but I don't really see this an official announcement. I also don't believe that everyone will be happy when it comes. The mirrorless folks will be upset because it keeps the k mount and doesn't include an EVF, which is the wave of the future. More people will be upset because it is priced in the 2500 dollar range and spec-ed closer to a D810 than a 6D.

Oh well, there wouldn't be a forum here without sour grapes, would there?
