This is the report from Photokina made by 'Le Monde de la Photo' ('The World of Photo', both a magazine and a website):

Ricoh : le plein format arrive - Le Monde de la Photo

A few excerpts:

"Ricoh : le plein format arrive…

C’est désormais officiel : il y a aura bien un boîtier plein format chez Ricoh Imaging. Il faudra patienter jusqu’à l’année prochaine, le projet étant en cours de développement.

(...)

Ricoh reconnaît officiellement qu’un projet est en cours de développement et qu’il sera dévoilé l’an prochain, sans préciser de période pour l’instant.
"

which, once translated into English, reads:

"Ricoh: the full frame [camera] is coming...

It's now official: there will be a full frame camera from Ricoh Imaging. You will have to wait until next year, the project being under development.

(...)

Ricoh officially recognize that a project is under development and will be unveiled next year, without specifying a time frame for now.
"

I am very much looking forward to CP+!!!
At last !!!!!!!

The cameras with very best ergonomics ever, for me, were the K10d and K20d. With the new K-7 design my pinky falls off and supports the camera awkwardly from the bottom. After that nerf in ergonomics I quickly accepted that camera ergonomics isn't all that important if you don't hold it for hours on end. Now my cameras may be shaped like cube for all I care. The end result all that matters. So IQ and portability are most important.
I do not quite understand the WERE. I am still using my K20d ( and Z1 p) and not ready to part with it until I know that the next camera will be better all round. Tough assignment.

You should upgrade. The sensors of the K5 and the K3 are so much better than the K20D

I think that Tamron 28-75 supports FF sensor.

Absolutely.
Mine will be very happy to mount on any future Pentax FF.

The Pentax branded FF will have that selectable mirror translucency thingie?
And a hybrid OVF/EVF? Which also means, best of both phase detect and contrast detect AF can offer?
Because all those technologies are made for each other.

So, don't expect your boring A7 or D810 dreams. I am expecting something much better next year.
Manic this week.

I have FF covered from 24mm to 500mm, though if one came out and I bought it I suppose I would need to add a 12-24 to my collection. Of course the Tamron 10-24 does cover FF from ~13 mm and up...

I'm expecting it to look like a swiss army knife... with a built in, full sized, tripod, camera bag with room for 4 lenses, and a popout full sized bounceable flash. Go Go Gadget Pentax.

I see Olympus' new M-5 can do 40 mp using sensor shift. I always thought Pentax would be first to do that in a smaller-than-MF camera. Ah well....

Yeah, I was disappointed to not see Pentax grab that headline as well. Hey, "first" isn't always "better"! Also, I don't shoot locked-down landscapes/product photos much though, so no skin off my back.

How about in-camera focus stacking (or at least bracketing)? No one does that yet, right?

Yes, I'd like that, especially for macro work. Automatic hyperfocal focusing might be handy, too.

I really want some kind of snap focus like the GR has, especially in my Q where the wide DOF is an asset.
