By the way the prototype is just a bit larger than K3.

That could be a clue, indeed.
But they do promote it logically because of the K2's 40 years... so that's not for sure either imho.

A refresh of the FA limiteds would be just what is needed to make the Pentax FF something special on the market, especially if the camera itself is relatively small. Fast pro zooms are all very well, but CaNikon and Sony also have them - they're necessary but in no way do they set any particular manufacturer apart from the others.

Yesterday i tried both new tamrons,nice lenses.
If it will be under pentax brand,why not.

I know,but if Pentax can use it for low Price,why not.
Optics are good,tried it on eos5III yesterday.
But it Looks not like that rebranding.
Maybe more in october.

The reviews of those Tamrons look nice, but nothing too special (like the Sigma Art lenses or the Zeiss Otus, which caused a big stir). They are not super sharp wide open, they are not CA-free, they are only f1.8.. but they are still big and heavy, and cost more than Pentax DA and FA primes of similar focal lengths (ignoring the FA 31mm ltd).
Sure, I would like to see those Tamron primes in K-mount, but I will not be waiting in line for them. I would prefer to see actual Pentax lenses, DA ltd, DA*, FA ltd, FA* redesigns, upgrades.

Uhhh... Perhaps because they are celebrating the K-mount and that the K2 was the first K-mount camera (the flagship of the K-range)?
