Did I miss something Jack? What news? Those of us who haven't got our own little bundles of K20D joy yet love to hear of lower pricing...

So what'd it say, fer gawdz sayk?

Don't keep us in suspense like this, Jacko. What, is it going down like a buck fifty or something? Yee-haa.

Or are we beleaguered and impoverished photographers here in Canada finally getting parity with Beach camera, Abe's of Main, Broadway camera (and no I don't mean the one in Vancouver) and all the other fine upstanding retailers that the Americans have easy access to?

What's up, Mr. Simpson? Do tell...

Cheers,
Cameron

Hello Cameron,

Well, our prices for the K20D and K200D were $1249 and $689, respectively, and
they are now both lower and, IMO, definitely worth a look

Cheers,

Jack

You can't actually say it?

When in doubt just check Shopbot.ca. How much the stores want to drop the price is what you pay.

The Camera Store (Calgary) has it for $1168, which is the price that I would get if I bought locally (price match in Alberta with McBain Camera).

I think the K10D will hold me well for a while though.

Hi Cam et al,

I could say but I would rather not nor advertise the shop, as well -- must be a throwback to the DPR daze -- but suffice to say that, whilst the prices in the previous posts are quite good, ours are lower

You're still my favorite camera saleman in the city. If I wasn't deathly allergic and afraid of malls (yech!) I'd come down there and visit you sometime.

Actually, I saw a documentary on that very subject - shopping malls are designed to attract and sustain women and teeny-boppers; many men absolutely detest those places (I know I do).

But you're the best, man!

Cheers,
Cameron

Thanks Cameron and, heck, I didn't realise that it was a medical condition that
kept you away from the shop but we can always work around that ...after all
there are are cafe's in the area we could always meet up at I have to agree with
you (about the malls being designed to keep women and teeny boppers in them) and,
as a matter of fact, this past Sunday I made the mistake of entering Pacific Centre
(from Sears) and got about 50 feet and had to sit down and for the 40 or so minutes
I could not believe the number of women who kept walking back and forth in in the mall

I barely escaped to the Blenz further down the hallway

Cheers and see (or maybe talk to) ya soon.

I'm not usually a poster, but I feel I HAVE to get a word in here. That mall up in York Mills (Toronto) with the Bass Pro attached has the best idea yet - watch for a while, then escape to the comforts of the gadgets within. Of course if there were a camera shop there as well with aforementioned pricing on a nice new K200D for me it would be even better
