May i totally desagree with these "pensée unique" and "urban born" and biaised statements of Mr Reichsmann.

1/ Canon, Pentax and Nikon do have the correct approch of mirrorless concepts : small sensors, for small bodies and accordingly small lenses. Whatever one might think, once you need strong grips and long focal distance, the mirrorless concept looses interest, because the body's size "advantage" with small lenses, becomes a handicap.

2/ The big margins are rather to be found in the mirrorless bodies producers, whose prices are definitely and globally higher than comparable SLRs, despite evidences of lower material, technical complexity and manufacture added value in these products (with the noticeable exceptions of Sony and Samsung, due to their fast market-share conquerant - but risky - strategy).

3/ Tomorrow's market will probably not be MILC's or DSLRsatz dominated ; there will definitely still be a huge market-share for DSLR. Why ? because not every photog is a mere urban or landscape shooter with 2 to 3 lenses, keen to swich label according to the last geekeries of any kind, let appart photography potential. Most interested photographers are investing time and money in their gear, appreciate the backward compatiblity and the serious/steady strategy of traditionnal DSLR makers, rather to elusive and/or instable/fancy providers like Olympus, Sony or Fujifim.

Anyway. We are causing emotional distress from some of the readers and are off topic.
Agree to stop arguing myself here. There really no point in such thread.

These rumors come from 2ch, meaning they are not *that* reliable:

[1] 1月にリコーの本気コンデジ(×高画質)
Ricoh will release a high-end compact digital camera next January.

New Pentax APS-C format K-mount camera, which will be awesome

New Q-mount camera next summer

New bellow-type camera mount (Honestly, this sounds crazy and I have no idea what this is)

Ricoh will release K-60 and K-L next year.
- Spec-wise, K-60 will be similar to K-3 but with a different sensor
- K-L is basically a retro version of K-60.
There will be a new MX, but it won't have AF/AE/SR and LCD screen.

Well, as I said, 2ch is typically not the best source, so take these rumors as a grain of salt.
What about 35mm FF camera? Don't we already have enough Pentax FF rumors
Concerning number 4 I actually have thought about this before and think it is a good idea. Basically just a K-mount that retracts closer to the camera for a smaller form factor mirrorless. When you need the original K-mount distance it protudes out further out, kind of like a build in adapter. Not sure if this would look nice or not though.

You hit a nerve maybe but I'd say that Digitalis is the living counter example of your point. Take some time to review his posts in general on Pentax Forum. At least to me he seems knowledgable, to care of photographics fundamentals and to have Leica gear. It also look like he is a good photographer too.

At most you could say it apply to most Leica photographers, not all... But still without somes statistics this would be your point of view only, and a point of view that put negative judgement on some people.

I think it will be the same K-50 with 20 MP and some features from K-3.

I agree with you, but I wonder about the 20MP sensor. I have a theory that Pentax secured them for the K-S1 because they are very cheap and Sony is phasing them out, so I wonder if Pentax can have enough of them for a good K-60 run... ?

Key feature for me would be to get AF of K3.

Nah. You have hit yourself, with a barrel of tar and then rolled down unconscious in feathers.
You indeed have no idea what you were writing about, but good hearted people of Pentax Forums, like Digitalis, forgive you.
It's Christmas time anyway.

what ever it will be, stills department can stay as is, 24 megapixels is more than enough, Iso is fine too, don;t shoot higher than iso 800 anyway... but video, I am begging you Ricoh Pentax, better codec, 4 K resolution, cinema standard... Focus peaking during video recording, aperture control in manual mode, clean HDMI out to external recorders. Is that much to ask? I am not even asking for phase af tracking during video recording, but that would also be nice....
