Connect the Dots

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=358725167643675&set=o.125971060849432&type=1

Did anyone else see this going around FB today? Any word on if this is a legit screen cap of a Pentax page or a hoax? Here's a screen cap of the original thread uploaded to PF for safe keeping.

Sorry I haven't but remember that Pentax France apparently confirmed this rumor some time ago.

I think I saw that image some time ago, and I would be surprised if it wasn't made by someone here.

After posting this I noticed that the dots make a triangle. Clearly Pentax is about to pioneer triangular sensors.

When I connect the dots I see Minnesota.

Hmmm. Isn't Hormel from Minnesota?

And a right triangle at that. Not an isosceles as many would have conjectured. Edgy.

If you connect the dots (include the i) you get a Z

Old 645Z teaser?

Am i the only one who noticed that the main text is approx. the size of a full frame sensor?

Actually, if the dot above the 'i' is included, it's an irregular quadrilateral. Aha! No other manufacturer has yet thought of that, have they! VERY edgy.

To me it looks like by connect the dots they wanna make a corner which then makes "Sometimes Rumors Are True" shape a sensor which probably will be a 35mm sensor, as someone noticed the similarity of proportions between "FF" sensor dimensions and this text. Nice it is finally happening, question is how many are still there to invest into this, heard like many folks already moved out to other brands.

I sincerely hope with this new camera if it is true they will fill not only the hole of absent FF body, but also improve on some other departments.

Wish Pentax opened the curtains sooner than 2015.

Definitely legitimate. Probably straight from Ricoh HQ, if I had to guess.
