I hope it has 6+ fps, quiet shutter, AF and peaking during video, then I'm in!

my totally guessed named for it is the KS-30 or 50. It makes a lot of sense. Either that or the K-30\50ii.

Hum... i wouldn't bet for any classic denomination.
Ricoh will probably take this opportunity to invent some K- new counting reference.

I won't.
Ricoh will be like "jokes on you" That is because after you buy it and you turn the screen around it will say RICOH and there will be gnashing of teeth all around

If not, you could turn the camera around - I'm sure there will be a "Ricoh Imaging" label somewhere, on the bottom plate.
That alone - despite having several, prominent Pentax labels on the camera and lens - means Ricoh is surely killing the Pentax brand. It's DOOMED!

Since they started with the KS-1, I think this will be the KS-10. Weird huh, but who knows.
Hey guys, the name of the camera is K-S2 and it's the successor of K-S1. It will be an outdoor DSLR (weather sealed etc) and it will have the same 20 MP sensor.

At past Ricoh inverviews they said that the KS series was for "special", different, edgy.. this camera doesnt have that.. is more a modern K50 design than an "Special" ...

It is clearly the successor the the K-50. I will be very surprised if the name is not K-60. Barring that I would expect K-50ii, or K5x (with x being a number between one and nine). I wonder if there is a reason they skipped K-40?

Someone can expand, but the number 4 has bad associations in Japan. Apparently it sounds like "death". Don't know if that holds for 40...there was a Canon 40D, after all.

It's called Tetraphobia.

QuoteQuote:
The Chinese word for four (四, pinyin: sì, jyutping: sei3), sounds quite similar to the word for death (死, pinyin: sǐ, jyutping: sei2), in many varieties of Chinese. Similarly, the Sino-Japanese, Sino-Korean, and Sino-Vietnamese words for four, shi (Japanese), sa (사, Korean) and tư (Vietnamese), sound similar or identical to death in each language (see Korean numerals, Japanese numerals, Vietnamese numerals).
40 is not included, but 14, 24, 42 etc are.

QuoteQuote:
Tetraphobia far surpasses Triskaidekaphobia (Western superstitions around the number 13). It even permeates the business world in these regions of Asia.
