Boris, you're talking about a saturated market, that even Apple has discovered when its shares hit $671 in 2012, with a lack of iPhone, Mac, iTunes and web services innovation since - including failed "low end" handsets , with declining market share in tablets, too.
The threat to Samsung's global dominance won't be from an ageing Apple, scratching its head in the post Jobs era.
It's from a wave of Chinese manufacturers doing Android, not iOS.
IMHO, Pentax have done well as a minority player in a rapidly shrinking DSLR market.
It would be easy to produce excellent products at a loss, like HTC does in phones.
