So here are the picture I took no post processing since I don't have anything other than Picasa 3 on this machine. Internet sucks and won't download anything either.

TechIsCool's Pentax CES Pictures
Thanks for the pics! Looks like the custom plates are getting wilder and wilder. Now we get custom bottom plates? I guess that means the top plate color is customizable too.

So it is a fully articulating screen. Nice!

I like that it can be folded against the camera for protection.

And for those so inclined, they can pretend they have no preview and expose with no feedback with all the surprises and successes to be viewed during post-processing.

Really nice looks, overall!
And it says "PENTAX" (not "RICOH") at the back (thumbs up)!

The top plate probably looks different to previous Pentax DSLRs in order to allow the WiFi signal to pass-through. I could imagine a similar "carbon" look on a flagship model as well, as long as it is understated.

I think plastic 'bump' on the back is the antenna.

If the mid-lever dslr from pentax can be this good, I am really looking forward what they will bring for the K-3 replacement or maybe fullframe next month ?

K-3 Replacement will not be for some time I guess. Maybe a refresh at photokina (K-3 II)

Back of the K-TBD looks normal apart from screen, just like the K-50, but a little more compact and the AE-L/AF button has moved to a better spot.

Nice pics!

Well, I really liked the "K-whatever" design

The back of the camera kind of caught my eyes. The white one looks a lot like some "Mobile Suit Gundam style". Really Cool.

And the new telephoto lenses are quite big. Surelly, if not Full Frame, I don't know what it is for. HAHAHA

As I pointed out before, don't count your chickens before they hatch! The pre-production working models of the K-3 were labeled "Pentax" on the back:

Wasn't that because the K-3 still was a remnant from Hoya's bag of tricks? Richo only took it into production. Can't find where I read that anymore.

Well, this camera looks really good. For me personally, I just wish they'd gone with the same type of LCD articulation that is on the 645z, so that you could tilt the screen up or down while still maintaining it in the axis of the lens. With the type of articulation shown in the pics you have to flip it out to tilt it up, and then it's hanging to the left of the body. In practice, this will make it much less useful to the type of situation where I want an articulating screen - framing high-magnification handheld macros in awkward situations. I hope the eventual K-3 replacement will have a 645z-like tiltable LCD instead of this...

No Problem Sorry they are compressed just don't have the internet to actually kick them up in anything else right now.

The orange bottom plate is a nice touch. Pentax on the back is a welcomed change and I hope it makes it to the final production model. I am happy to hear it will be weather sealed. One of my biggest issues with the K-S1 was the lack of weather sealing. I understand they left it out for a reason on the S1. I am just saying I think it is great they didn't abandon WR on this camera.

Is anyone else really liking the name "K-XX"? Kinda like K-20 in Roman numerals? I'm a fan.
