The white one looks so sleek. Also, that massive Pentax logo is great. Hope it makes it to the final version.

Interesting... I wonder what the big rectangle behind the card slot is? Just a funky grip for your thumb or something else?

I think it is likely a thumb rest....

Yeh, thumb grip..
Card slot door looks wide enough that it's a dual-SD.

Yeah, well the K3 pre-production model said Pentax on the back too... just saying....

The question is if it is mid-grade, like K-50, or an entry level like K-500. This camera looks a bit flashy, but everything seems to be there - so it could be either.

At the risk of nitpicking, I would prefer an articulating LCD screen that can be used when folded against
the body. Can anyone confirm whether the screen rotated so the LCD is visible and flush against the
body?

I thought I'd be buying a couple of K-S1's in the Spring, but yeah, I think there just may be one of these in my bag this year.

100% certain it can do that. I don't believe there is any camera with an articulating LCD that cannot.

Look at the screen - it has to turn in order to store with the non-LCD screen facing outward given how it appears here.
