That is one good looking camera, lets hope most of the features make it into the new flagship.
A Pentax camera that has a main dial on the right side of the pentaprism, can never be a flagship.
A third rate ship of the line, perhaps.

well, I know the one pictured is not a flagship, I'm just hoping the WiFi, NFC, and flippy screen make it into the new flagship.

If this one ticks all the boxes for me, I'd seriously consider selling my current gear and downsizing to one camera.

I doubt its entry-level, maybe mid-grade. The wheel doesn't have the functions you'd expect on an entry-level camera (portrait, landscape, sports, etc.) and it has a couple of custom user modes.

So the rumour is that this camera is actually APSC and we have not seen photos of the FF, which will come after this one, right? I am a bit behind the rumour mill

It's not rumour but fact - Ricoh Imaging called it APS-C DSLR.

I'm pretty sure they will some day.

I'm just wondering what will happen to this site when they do .... there will be a rush of posts followed by a 90% decrease in traffic as no one will have anything to speculate about any longer.

Or will everyone just moan about the new FF body?

The only way I'd use an articulating screen would be if it folded down to give me the equivalent of a waste level viewfinder, pointed straight up. I currently use a right angle viewfinder adapter, but that still requires a lot of kneeling. I'm not looking to do something different, I'm looking to do what I already do, easier.

Easier, and more graceful. My brother sometimes does street photography, and he uses his articulating LCD pointed up, because he believes people walking towards him will think he's just fiddling with camera controls.
