Nowhere; CP+ starts next week, and the camera (and the new kit lens) will be announced just before that.

OK, one more for the road, from Uluru/Zvonimir/The Pentax Oracle's comment on DPR:

"This is the 135 format camera that EVERYBODY was waiting for.
Even those folks who had FF before. Why?
Because whenever it comes to a certain market, be it MF with their 645Z, or crop market with their K-5 and K-3, Pentax redefines expectations.
This one will most likely redefine anyone's understanding of what a good FF DSLR should be. Pentax is coming back to the playground Pentax HAS INVENTED, and they will surely punch high."

Why did you doubt, you know nothing doubters you!

Please knock it off. You know as much as anybody else here, and that is nil.
In 10 days do not even think to fall into temptation and write that the revealed stuff is "exactly as you have been informed about", with perhaps "one more thing left unveiled, to be ready for the summer".

Epic quote. Today has been a delightful day to be a Pentaxian.

Oh Zvonimir, you Pentax oracle you. Thanks for clarifying your level of "insight," and in so friendly a manner, not to mention.
Wait, Uluru=Zvonomir Tocsic? ... Mind=blown.

I've heard a few days ago that Pentax "is coming out with full frame" from a guy who is actually my very reliable business partner.
It could be misunderstanding but in one moment when we talked about servicing some lenses he came out with that off-topic statement.
I asked him twice to repeat what he said, but he was very persistant in his statement and talked about that strictly in present tense.
He probably has some kind of business relations with Pentax/Ricoh.
He has 0% interests in Pentax full frame because he is not using Pentax cameras at all.
He is not some internet/forum/rumor kind of guy, his informations are mostly coming from his business relationships.
That's all I know.
BLOODY MADAFAKA WAS RIGHT!!!
I can't imagine how he knew that before everybody on this forum (except Kenspo).
He's not a photographer and he never used any Pentax camera not even for family snapshots.
I just check log on my phone and that conversation was on friday 23th.
I thought that was some kind of joke but he is not that type of person.
I must find some answers on my first trip to Germany.

Anyway THANK YOU KENSPO for spreading the words of hope here

2 new lenses and FF announced today plus APS-C And retractible kit zoom shown at CES is a fair start on the 8 or so lenses we've heard about.
I would say that there could be 8 more to come yet! But then, nobody believed me on the FF body (available around Halloween) and FF lenses just announced..........

Anyway, I'm glad to see that Ken has been elevated from a mad, lying, deluded troll to a Pentax Hero! About time too......!!!!!

The older film bodies won't be supported.
Completely agree. It annoys me but that's it.
Aperture ring is a lot more annoying to me but again, I think they do what needs to be done. It's a pity but that's it.

I much prefer what they do than getting trashed again in a SDM-like story.

Go Ricoh, GO ...

It's a good time to be a part of this long suffering, derranged, and renewed Pentaxian cult.

Something else besides the mid-range APS-C camera and the collapsible kit lens?

Yes, at this point I am happy to let whatever surprises be just that when they arrive. Thank you, kenspo for coming here, speaking truth, and calming the waters a bit.

I strongly suspect that your presence here was at the behest of, and not against the wishes of your employers. Whatever the case, it was well handled.

This news, coming when it has, has just pulled me from the brink of purchasing a Sony A7. Now I will wait. And save.
