I certainly hope Pentax will introduce some new members of the family at CP+. Including the long-awaited 'middle brother' to the K-3 and 645Z.

This kind of rumors hanged over CP+ for many years. But it never comes true. For any manner, I am fine before I decide to upgrade the mighty Pentax K5-II

Partially related question: How do you think Pentax will make full frame lenses if they finally release their ff camera? I.E. Do you think they will be a separate series, or somehow integrated into the lens lineup as DA*s, etc.

Revive FA? Do DFA? There are possibilities for them to do either or something completely new. I'm far less concerned about what they call the lenses than the fact that they make some new ones.

So far the announcements from other camera makers re CP+ launches suggest that CP+ is going to be a bit of a yawn:

Nikon D7200
Nikon 1 J5
Nikon Coolpix P900, AW130
Nikon Coolpix P610, L840, S9900, S7000, S3700

new Olympus E-M5 successor

Fujifilm X-Pro2
a bunch of new Fujifilm point and shoots

some incrementally updated Canon DSLRs

Nothing much to excite tech journalists or camera fans. So Ricoh will practically have the CP+ media stage to themselves if they want to make some big announcements of their own.

Actually, if the rumors surrounding the Oly E-M5 successor and Fuji X-Pro2 are true, there will be plenty of excitement! If not, then yeah it looks like Ricoh might have a great opportunity to grab the spotlight.

But that isn't too bad - Fuji and Pentax owning CP+. At least Pentax won't be sharing with CaNikOny. But wasn't there something about some megapickle monstrosity from CaNikon?
