I personally don't believe Pentax is doomed. But I enjoy the meme. It adds a humorous dimension to the Pentaxian tableau. It must be milked until it is udderly spent.

I've tried both Nikon and Canon and their ergonomics and build quality left a LOT to be desired in comparison to Pentax at the same (or even lower) level. Perhaps their FF's are built well, but going on the plastic feels and incredibly inane menus that is hard for me to believe.

I wasn't impressed by them either to be honest. Even the FF bodies... I find them worst. Way too big.
The Sony ones though (that's why I used that picture), I have to admit... they are very, very good... at least personally, I am impressed by them - m2 especially.

I don't think we'll see the FF at CP+. A bit to soon yet. K-60 new kit lens. Maybe the promised wide zoom? 12-28. The two big zooms with more markings on them on show and some half hearted talk about FF that will be discussed by us endlessly as to its meaning. Some lenses with a HD coating update.

Here we go on plastic again. Plastic, is a modern material. They make airplanes out of plastic, good airplanes. They make bullet-proof "glass" out of polycarbonate (plastic)! There is nothing wrong with making a camera (like a Q7) out of plastic!!
