There used to be a Tokina 80-400 avaiable in K-mount, but that was ages ago.

Anybody knows where did those photos of marked lenses came from?

Yep, good lens, a little bit slow but decently sharp. Cost me 350€ second hand.
Correct me if I'm wrong but there was no other decent AF zoom in 400mm range except that one.
Until now.

That is the source of information, they obviously didn't take those pictures.

They're from digicame-info.jp - a Japanese rumor site (but, they appear to be much more selective than the *rumors.com sites)

I asked for the source of photographs, not for the source of information.

Kenspo, do you believe that those photos could be from official marketing publication ?

I agree, if those fast special lenses get released it will be later, no need to do everything at once, or to provide all the best toys in one shot

Much more likely that these will appear, my guess:

DFA* 70-200
DFA 150-450
DFA 24-70

DFA 31/43/77 Limiteds

DFA* 55 1.4
Don't forget the D FA 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens.

Well, looking at the quality and style of the images, they are pro-caliber product photos. Not sure what else you expect to hear before the official announcement in 11 hours...

Thank you, my thoughts exactly.
Oh boy I can't wait on info of 150-450's size, weight, wr and price.
D-FA*70-200 could be replaced in several ways but that one simply couldn't.

Likely, from a press release. Digicame-info won't give up their sources...

My guess.. if the brand wants to get closer to "pros" they need to come out first with the lenses that most pro need so i guess: 70-200mm // 150-450mm // 24-70mm ( as kit ) // 85mm f1.4 // 50mm f1.4 (perhaps f1.2 :O ) // 35mm f1.4 // 100mm macro //

But who knows.. we'll see.. good times are coming.
Not wide enough. Need to add something like a 28/2.8 and something in the <18mm range and drop the 35. On FF in the old days 28 was a standard "wide" lens and 35 was a bit of an oddball lens.

Have you ever tried FA 20mm?
Great lens, from my point of view the only reason why it's not in production anymore is low demand in a crop world.
That's not excuse anymore.
If Pentax restarts production of FA 20mm that will be also good for second hand prices.
Second hand FA 20mm f/2.8 shouldn't cost more than new FA 35mm f/2 as it is now.
