The irony is that the Pentaxians that frequent DPR forums AND b1tch that DPR doesn't review Pentax products in a timely manner or always give Pentax news a negative slant still post in that forum.

Don't they realize that the act of posting there contributes to DPR advertising dollars (clicks and hits)?
But posting there and raising poorly coded click counters is the only way to hasten Pentax reviews on that site... or at least, making them appear at all.

Yes...obviously that has worked so far.

"Why I'm Not Buying a FF Pentax" thread to begin...you know it's coming!

Regards!
I suggested earlier a dedicated thread to the not-yet-there Pentax FF exclusive to complainers.

Whatever will people complain about now that the favorite whipping horse has been dispatched? I'm sure there will be something though; should we take bets?

They keep going back and forth on Red vs Green

Pentax isn't used as often or Ricoh is used too often

Why can't they just rerelease X lens, it's FF and never cost as much as these new designs

Why doesn't my new FF take as good pictures as my MX-1 (or insert another pocket single dedicated lens camera)

Don't worry, the griping will keep going - have no fear!

Many small bits of new information from asahi man on the 'other' discussion forum (if you can stand to go there). From about 10 hours ago:
  • Prototype showing at CP+ - demo later.
  • Completely new AF and drive system in BOTH the LENSES. Internal AF system completely new
  • NEW IBIS - says biggest tech change in a long time
  • Planned available autumn
  • 90% likely NOT 24Mp (but is Sony sensor)

So either 16 MP for low light performance or 36 MP for extra resolution?

So they said you could use the DA lenses because it has a crop mode, right? Why would they do that when no DA prime other than the 55 has a motor?

I'm pretty sure it supports the screw drive AF.

on the other Forum asahi man confirms screwdrive motor in the FF body, but the lenses have ALL NEW technology for the motor and the Drive System.

This si consistent with other rumors - crippled KAF2 in the body, KAF3 in the lenses.

Gotcha! If it's 36 MP then it's 36 MP. Let's hope for low noise and wide dynamic range too! Maybe we'll see something similar to the A7R. That's one generation back from the A7II but probably more than good enough.
