The big FFs from Pentax:
Pentax announced that they will release their first digital Full Frame DSLR by end of 2015. As you know Pentax use Sony sensors on their APS-C DSLR so I guess it’s highly likely Pentax will use the new 46-50MP Sony FF sensor on that camera too!

It would make sence to have 36MP, with really good ISO, fine tuning on focus points for FF(and new to become 645). To make FF new experimenting ground for 645. Followed with 86k color metering system. And possibly -4 ev. Sensitivity for focusing. Also for step for new 645 and aps-c to make domination in 3 levels...just a thought. Not making FF just for FF.

I think also some FA lenses will be on the market at much higher prices than current. I imagine that the 3 amigos will go up in price, along with the FA 35mm f/2.0; all the FA * lenses (tho many of those are beyond reach of many of us already) I would also imagine that some of the premier K, and A lenses will also go up in price. I doubt that the new body can out resolve the K 135mm f/2.5, all the A* primes, a few others.

Ficha especificaciones técnicas Pentax Full Frame - Pentax Full Frame

36 Mpix
What i said is "I see a spanish site that post the specs too..But i wont confirm them..Not at this moment." - Because its pure speculations atm Most logical will be 36mpx with 24mpx crop, or 24mpx with 16mpx crop. It cant be higher, because then the FF will be a direct competitor with the 645Z.

It can never directly compete with the 645Z, because of the difference in format. Just like 24mp APS-C and 24mp FF system won't hurt each other either.

36 Mpix on 24x36 sensor gives a 16 Mpix APS-C crop, not 24. And 24 Mpix gives a 10,7 Mpix APS-C crop.

Unless there's a crop factor available other than the standard 1.53. In fact, a great feature would be a selectable crop factor with the additional option of all Pentax lenses providing the camera with the minimum crop factor for that lens.

I don't understand the need for automatic in-camera cropping. Just crop in post. I hope it's an option that can be turned off.

Doesn't the D800 (36MP) crop to ~16MP?

Maybe it doesn't really crop the RAW files anyway, just the JPEGs?

It would be great if the camera provides a user-definable crop. I'd be tempted to set the DA35 Ltd to zero crop, because it seems it vignettes only at distance, not when used for close-ups. And I would probably set the DA70 to only a slight crop - maybe 1.2 to make it an approximate 85mm/f2.8

Yes, kenspo. Hence the expression "sorta".

I imagine it can be turned off but "just crop in post" then requires the user to post-process every image. Not much point in even having a JPEG engine in that case.
