That's disappointing, because I kill myself every time I write one of these reviews to ensure it's as comprehensive as possible and to not miss anything. I'm no longer available for writing as my schedule has become too hectic, but still....that's extremely disheartening to hear

I normally read all the necessary reviews of the hardware I would like to acquire prior to my purchase. Thanks to all the contributors users and Pentax professional reviewers and that includes you Heie.

Just a word of warning - 40 hours per month is a conservative estimate. I spend much more than that analyzing optical performance of a new lens and sometimes acquiring alternate copies in the event something is defective with the reference lens. My optical testing set-up is highly advanced as I review Leica,Schneider, Zeiss, Rodenstock,Fujinon,Nikkor and Voigtlander lenses on various RF and LF forums, trust me you want to make sure you have your numbers right. The readers I write for are accustomed to my writing style and the tend to be a learned bunch, I just post sample images displaying the qualities of a lens - I like to do direct comparisons between two lenses. Though most of the time I just post the the raw data from my optics bench and most of them can interpret it* - that saves me a heap of time with writing.

* I can't do that here because of resolution limits.
