In f2.8 FF, Tamron has a well-regarded 15-30, and a popular 24-70. Tokina has a older 16-28 on offer, and is said to be releasing a new [1kg!] 24-70mm in June for Canikon.

Since the 70-200 f2.8 is already done, Ricoh will have some decent options if it want's to go down the partnering path for the remaining two of the three 'trinity' lenses.

I've said it earlier, that the FF and especially the "holy trinity" of lenses are important to Ricoh/Pentax and aimed at pros. So they are after to compete against Nikons trinity of 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200 + Canons 16-35, 24-70 and 70-200..Will come more lenses later, both at better prizes and other sizes that are reachable for most people. Next year we will also see more then a few primes So good times ahead. There will also be new lenses for the aps-c lineup!
Is the D-FA* 70-200 still expected to ship this month?

Shouldn't be that long until. Since they said that the most important lenses should be out latest when then the FF arrives.

Seems logical enough. At worst UWA Zoom and standard zoom (and kit lens) should be announced with the camera.

I really wonder about the kit lens. Hope won't be an "FF 18-55" but a real mid range lens. Maybe a f/4 or f/3.5-4.5 or something.

The lens map shows:
DFA Large Diameter Zoom - 24-70ish (24-70 f/2.8)
DFA Standard Zoom - 28-105ish (28-105 f/4 or 28-120 variable aperture)
DFA Large Diameter Wide Zoom - 16-30ish (16-30 f/2.8)

I suspect the 24-70 f/2.8 is accurate and there will be no surprise. The UWA is of course open to a lot of speculation, including whether it is re-brand of someone else's lens or something new and of course the precise focal lengths have real meaning here where on the longer lenses it is not so important.

The real unknown is the 28-105 which I would think would be the 'kit' lens. We will see Ricoh's intent most from this lens. I'm hoping for a high end 28-105 f/4 that shows they really intend this system to be high end all the way. The alternative would be a less expensive 28-105 or 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 which might be fine optically but shows a selection based on cost factors.

I hope Pentax launch a 15 30 own, but be careful with the tamron competition have a prestigious and UWA.

It would be too bad to launch a lower Pentax lens.

If Tamron is a version that has a touch Pentax their coats and sealing.

Hoping that the Pentax engineers have notion of good as is the Tamron, and throw something at least at the same level

this lens showed the potential of Pentax when they want to do something of quality.
But I still have a little afraid to think of 20 40 hd. Compared with Sigma 18 35.

The Pentax is lighter, smaller, is WR - and focusses reliably too.

Different design philosophy, different usage, objectives. The 18-35 is pretty bad at being small/light and doesn't resist flare as much. 20-40 is so-so for low light/shallow deph of field.

And the Tammy has more range.
Better the Tammy than a so-so lens. Simply an excellent Pentax would be better IMO.
