My deal with Ricoh/Pentax is not to mainly test new gear, but show the other pro's that Pentax is back for real. IF that made sense...But i still get the gear before it hits the shops
What do you think they plan to do with their prime lens line-up? Will they go with the 85mm F/1.4 to follow Canon & Nikon or update the 77mm Limited first? I was really hoping the updated Limited lenses would be part of the FF launch.

Did you remove all of the test shots you posted with the D-FA* 70-200mm?

If it's a rebranded Tamron 15-30 f/2.8, that'd be nice - seems to be a great lens. Pentax would add some weather sealing and we'd have a terrific lens. Only not being able to use filters would be a bummer.
Maybe they could replace the VC element with a drop-in filter

and coatingsI wonder if they would license the formula, manufacture their own barrels and assemble it themselves.
That's what they will have to do if they want it to look like a Pentax lens instead of a Tamron one Also, they need to add the weather sealing. But I'd assume that the bulbous front element that prevents filter use is a necessity to let in enough light at such a fast (f/2.8) wide-angle (15 mm) setting. Other lenses have the same issue (e.g. Samyang 14 f/2.8) and maybe reducing that front element would significantly impact on the optical qualities.

DPR says 2400 US$. Whatever. Pentax should be able to have something good at that kind of price, shouldn't they ?
