Hej Kenneth,

When you say super sharp, how it compares to - lets say the DA*55 or the FDA100mm macro?
I haven't tested the sharpness 100% yet..I gave AF speed priority at first test (The soccer game). But so far it seems sharper (did some test in my livingroom earlier today). Will get back to you on that when tested more

Well, with hood and tripod mount it goes up to 2030g which is the real use case. Dunno about the Sigma though.

2015 = zooms
2016 = primes

So if you are speculating on FA Limited prices, now you know.

Sould like very logical! They know they need to update their line-up ! And when the FF line will be good, they'll need to update the APSC line-up too. I think in particular of SDM motors and slow AF of DA*...

I don't like Big Macs... could you convert it in "McChicken with fries and medium-sized Coke" currency?

The BMC is a simple way of comparing the price of something in various country with different cost of things / wages.
Mainly because the price of a BigMac is often the same price as 40min of minimum wages in many country.

BMC isn't a good gauge of currency equivalency. Article on The Big Mac Index from The Economist.

Yeah but it is always difficult to mesure anyway as it will depend on how your spend you like to spend your money and it doesn't count neither things like quality of infrastructures (roads, hospital) the possibility to be cured for free or not.

Just recently, the euro dropped a lot toward $. Not long ago it was 1.3$ for 1€, now it is 1.08$ for 1€, and it was lower at some point. If you go a little back we had almost 1.6$ for 1€ at some point and at other times 0.85$ for 1€...

But in the end I see mainly the change when I look for US price of photo gear or when I want to go on vacations. Most of my expenses stay in euros.

As for theses lenses, if they help you as a professionnal to achieve better results and gain clients, this is insanely cheap. If it is for fun, well just ensure you have enough money to cover your expenses. It is not worse than getting a more expensive car, clothes, smoking or going to the restaurant on a regular basis.
