I'm curious. That isn't a length nor venue I'm familiar with, but at 3200 iso there is little or no cropping. That means you were 7-10 meters away? The depth of field is not razor thin, but enough to isolate the subject. I suspect you would be moving between performers, following them across the stage, watching them and trying to get some neat pose or action requiring quick focus.
I imagine that there are lots of throw aways, either not interesting or something wrong.
Anything with the lens body combination that got in your way?
Thank you! No, it was no problem for me..I was in the crowd..Due to pyro, they didn't want us in the photopit (safety). Yes i was standing in front of the soundboard..i think that is about 7-8 meters. This picture is not cropped. That is correct..i dont run back and forward, i follow them with the lense..and wait until the right moment. When they are head banging, i shoot a burst of 3-4 pictures to capture like this. My style of working and shooting, requires a GOOD and fast AF. This lense is so good in that way. But i still mean, that we need the FF to see its full potential. I get some throw aways..but its getting less and less
