No reason to rush it. This is a core lens for FF users. It needs to be an excellent performer.
Exactly. Its primary made for the coming FF. And it has to be spot on!

They want to be dead certain its the best thing they release. And it will be.

This lens is full frame providing a 70-200mm range. Would that then make it equivalent to 46.67-133.33mm on a APS-C? Pentax's website states it as 107-307mm on 35mm (FF) which seems backwards. Maybe the 70-200mm is for APS-C?

The crop factor from FF focal lenght to APS-C is 1.5, not at reverse.

They mean that it will be like 107-307 on a FF when using on APS-C..just an error in the way they wrote it.

Thank you. Should we expect other full frame lenses to be announced/released before the camera makes it's official debut?

WHetehr we should or not we are. For one thing.. it's going to need a kit lens. Something they can sell with the camera. Unless they are going to take us back to 1967 and sell the DA 50 1.8 with it.

A kit lens (and not a kid lens à la 3,5-5,6 unless wide range lol) and a pro standard zoom lens. A WA pro zoom should be nice too.

Nervous Bokeh My arse!! but seriously I do not find it 'nervous' on the 150-450,but one must be aware of the background for sure

This is not confirmed, but i would be surprised if Pentax didn't rebrand Tamrons new 15-30mm.

Mmm not the best signal IMO but better than a bad lens IMO.

I can be wrong here. Since they are tight on the info. But that 15-30 Tamron, is one of the best on the marked atm. I tested it in Sweden last week. Its better then the 14-24 from Nikon. THAT is a sign of quality.

Since one of Pentax's best lens designer now works for Tamron, that might not be a bad thing. There is also a rumor that Zeiss has bought a Tamron lens design and has it in production. These lenses will be made to the standards of the different manufacturers, it is only the design that comes from Tamron. Coatings and construction will be dictated by the manufacturer.

The tamron is very good and only lacks a filter thread but saying that the wide-angle on the roadmap is a re-branded lens is pure speculation even if written by kenspo. It'll not be a bad news if tamron doesn't produce it in K mount even after the FF launch.
